Conor Gallagher to Tottenham latest as Chelsea star faces anxious wait and confirmed West Ham interest

Cheksea star Conor Gallagher could yet leave the club before the transfer window shuts with interest from West Ham and Tottenham.

Tottenham have renewed interest in Conor Gallagher and are willing to test Chelsea’s latest resolve on the midfielder ahead of the transfer deadline day later today.

According to reports Chelsea have set a £ 50 million price tag on the midfielder and will do business if any of his suitors meet the price as they look to balance the books.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is looking to move away for regular playing time and Spurs have looked at the Chelsea midfielder as someone who could come in and easily replace the Danish midfielder.

Manchester United are looking at Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as the perfect replacement for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat who they have tried and failed to get so far.

According to the Metro, Chelsea are aware of Tottenham’s interest in Gallagher and are willing to do business because they have a lot of players in the middle of the park and can do with selling another academy product after the sale of Mason Mount earlier in the summer.

The report claims that Chelsea are open to selling Gallagher having signed Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia this month but are demanding a £45 million fee for the England international.

West Ham United have also held an interest in the midfielder despite already signing Mohammed Kudus and James Ward-Prowse as a replacement for Declan Rice.
