The Championship table since Nottingham Forest hired Steve Cooper

Yet another problem for West Ham as Nottingham Forest want to sign Adrien Truffert

Nottingham Forest reportedly could now challenge West Ham United for the signing of Adrien Truffert this summer.

According to a report from RMC Sport, West Ham now face a problem if we are to sign Adrien Truffert in the summer transfer window, with Nottingham Forrest chasing his signature as well.

Hammers boss David Moyes definitely needs to sign a top-class left-back, with Aaron Cresswell bering heavily linked with the exit door.

Truffert would be the ideal man for the job as far as I’m concerned, but it seemingly won’t be straightforward for West Ham to sign him…

RMC Sport claim that Forest are now battling the Hammers for the Rennes star this summer.

Truffert is a really exciting young talent, and is exactly the kind of player we should be trying to sign in my opinion.

He’d be a massive upgrade on Aaron Cresswell and would provide really strong competition and cover for Emerson Palmieri.

Stade Rennais v Paris Saint-Germain - Ligue 1

The French youngster bagged an impressive six assists in 28 Ligue 1 games for Rennes last season (Who Scored).

During those appearances, Truffert averaged 2.2 tackles and 1.6 clearances per match (Who Scored).

He has pace in abundance, is really strong in the tackle and has a good sense of positional awareness. Sempre Inter claim he could be available for around €20 million (£17 million) this summer. That sounds like great value for me.

I would absolutely love Adrien Truffert to join West Ham, but Nottingham Forest entering the race to sign him is definitely a problem that we could do without.
