Raptors news: Patrick Beverley continues beef, fix for offense proposed
The Toronto Raptors are an unsavory 0-2 against Nick Nurse, Patrick Beverley, and the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2023-24 season and 2-2 against the rest of the NBA. The worst part about losing to a Beverley-led team is listening to his commentary after the game.
Beverley, who never met a microphone he didn’t like, continued his ongoing heel turn as a bench player talking like a starter and calling out opponents. Despite being outscored by Malachi Flynn in consecutive games, Beverley has kept poking the Canadian bear.
In his traditional vague, bloviating fashion, Beverley ripped Toronto for not having “dogs” on the roster on his podcast, following that statement with a condescending tweet after Toronto’s first loss. Unsurprisingly, Beverley repeated the process after Philly beat Toronto at Wells Fargo Center.
The continuation of this very one-sided beef has to be hilarious for Raptors fans, as they are not engaging in any sort of back-and-forth with Beverley while he goes out and scores three points every single night. The Raptors have problems, but Beverley and his assessment of this team are not one of them.
