The Green Bay Packers Clear Star To Play Against The Kansas City Chiefs (Breaking)

The Green Bay Packers are looking for their third consecutive win this Sunday, however, it won’t come easy.  The Kansas City Chiefs come in at 8-3 on the year and are still vying for the top seed in the AFC.  The Packers (5-6) are coming off two strong wins and are on the cusp of claiming one of the two Wild Card spots.

The Packers have been dealing with a significant amount of injuries over the last few weeks, however, today they announced some positive news.

The Green Bay Packers Say Wide Receiver Jayden Reed Hasn’t Suffered Any Setbacks, Expected To Be Good To Go Against The Kansas City Chiefs

Ryan Wood of USA Today Sports reported:

Jayden Reed says his chest injury stems from a hard hit he took early against Chargers. He’s been playing through it since then.

Doesn’t expect that to change this week, which is good news for Jordan Love and the Packers offense.

Reed has had quite the impact on the Packers’ offense as a rookie.

In the last month, Jayden Reed has not only provided a spark in the passing game, but he has also been getting more designed touches ouot of the backfield.

Reed has rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown in the last four games, including five carries over the last two games. According to PFF, three of those six rushes have totaled at least 15 yards, giving him an average of 13.8 yards per attempt.

“11 (Reed) is a playmaker,” said receivers coach Jason Vrable. “He was in college, and he’s been doing that since he’s been here. I think he’s a natural football player, he’s competitive, and yeah, as many times as we can get the ball in those guys’ hands, good things are going to happen.”

So far on the year Reed has 43 touches, 578 yards, and nine touchdowns.
