Lambeau Field ready for Packers-Cowboys Salute to Service game Sunday

The Green Bay Packers Get Shocking Timeline For Christian Watson’s Return (Breaking)

The Green Bay Packers got their biggest win of the season on Sunday Night against the Kansas City Chiefs.  That 27-19 win got the Packers back to .500 on the season and if the season ended today, they’d be in the playoffs.  In the final moments of Sunday’s win, the Packers lost star wide receiver Christian Watson to yet another hamstring injury.  How long Watson is out will be determined over the next few weeks, however, the team got a pretty good idea today.

The final five games of the Packers’ schedule is rather favorable.  It includes the New York Giants (4-8), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7), Carolina Panthers (1-11), Minnesota Vikings (6-6), and Chicago Bears (4-8).  It is absolutely true that no game in the NFL is guaranteed, however, the Packers may be able to handle Watson’s absence.

With a little more than three minutes left in the game Love pitched an end-around to Watson. Watson then turned the corner and gained 10 yards, taking the ball to the Chiefs’ 34-yard line. However, Watson stumbled and fell before he made contact with anyone in white.  He would have to be helped off the field while grabbing his leg.

Prior to the play, Watson had had a great performance. His seven catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns further cemented his status as the team’s top receiver and strengthened his relationship with Love.

Watson had five catches for 94 yards and a touchdown against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.A rough start to the season saw Watson miss the first three weeks and struggle to get into a rhythm when he returned.  Hamstrings have been a lingering issue so far in Watson’s young career.

What Does This Mean For The Packers Going Forward This Season?

The Packers’ next three games include the Giants, Buccaneers, and Panthers.  Those three teams have a combined record of 9-26.  However, it must be noted that Tampa Bay is still very much in the mix for the NFC South title as the Falcons are currently in first place at 6-6.

If the Packers play it conservative and keep Watson out until their final two games (against the Vikings and Bears), Jayden Reed Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Doubs will have to step up.
