“I came to find out that Tom was not from this planet,” Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said of the New England Patriots legend. “And he still refuses to be tested for his outer space roots. … What Tom’s done with the Super Bowl victories, it’s hard to put anyone’s career at quarterback up against his.”

NOV. 11 JIM IRSAY PRAISES TOM BRADY – With the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots set to kickoff in Frankfurt on Sunday, memories from the storied rivalry between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are resurfacing.

Colts owner Jim Irsay was asked whether he would take Brady or Manning if he had to choose between the two.

Here’s a look at his full answer …

“I came to find out that Tom was not from this planet,” Irsay said. “And he still refuses to be tested for his outer space roots. … What Tom’s done with the Super Bowl victories, it’s hard to put anyone’s career at quarterback up against his.”

The Colts and Patriots are set to kickoff at 9:30 a.m. in Frankfurt.

NOV. 1 FORMER PATRIOTS ASSISTANT QB COACH BO HARDEGREE BECOMES LAS VEGAS RAIDERS OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR – While the news coming from Sin City was not the greatest for former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels — who was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders early Thursday morning — another ex-Pats coach is receiving a promotion from the silver and black.

Hardegree began his career as a graduate assistant at Duke in 2008, before accepting an intern role with LSU in 2011. Hardegree entered the NFL coaching ranks with the Denver Broncos in 2014. During his time in Denver, he worked closely with Adam Gase on the Broncos offensive coaching staff. He has also spent time as an assistant on the coaching staffs of the Chicago Bears and New York Jets. He also spent two seasons (2016-2018) as the Miami Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach.

The 39-year-old joined New England’s staff prior to the 2021 season as an assistant quarterbacks coach. He played an integral role alongside McDaniels in the development of Pats’ rookie quarterback Mac Jones. The Alabama product led all rookies with a 67.6 completion percentage and a 92.5 passer rating, while compiling 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Hardegree faces a tall task in resurrecting an offense which currently ranks No. 31 in total offense and No. 30 in scoring offense this season. He will do so under the direction of interim Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, who was promoted from linebackers coach.
