BREAKING: New York Giants Name Starting Quarterback for Monday’s Battle Against the Green Bay Packers – Week 14

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll took to the podium on Tuesday, announcing that the Tommy Cutlets era will continue for at least one more week. Per NFL columnist Pat Leonard, Daboll has named rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito as the starter in Week 14, despite the team designating veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor to return from the injured reserve (IR) earlier this week.

Tyrod Taylor Could Play Behind Devito on Sunday

Longtime journeyman quarterback Tyrod Taylor will play behind Tommy DeVito on Sunday. The Virginia Tech product has made three starts this season but suffered a rim injury in late October, landing him on the IR.

However, the Giants designated the 34-year-old to return from the IR earlier this week, suggesting he could have returned to a starting role in Week 14. Taylor will slot behind Devito on Monday if the team activates him onto the 53-man roster. Jacob Eason would play the backup role if Taylor can’t go.
