Breaking: The world-class players for the Bulls will miss this weekend’s classic clash due to yet another injury blow.

As Bulls try to build chemistry, did Donovan save any surprises?

Bulls guard Alex Caruso bored with the process of his toe healing up

Caruso missed his second consecutive game on Monday, and the hope was to have him back at some point this week. It’s the boredom that’s admittedly been wearing on Caruso, however.

The Chicago Bulls will likely be without guard Alex Caruso for a second straight game. Caruso, who’s dealing with a left toe strain, has been listed as doubtful for Monday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He also sat out Sunday as the Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons.

Caruso’s absence from the rotation is a huge blow for Billy Donovan’s team. While he isn’t the flashiest scorer, his tenacious defense has played a major factor in almost every win the Bulls have managed this season.

Caruso is averaging 7.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He also averages 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 59% from the field and 44% from three-point range. Caruso plays roughly 23.5 minutes per game and is a +18 on the season.

With the Bulls playing a back-to-back slate, it’s not entirely surprising that Caruso is unlikely to suit up on Monday. Still, Chicago will miss his presence against the division rival Bucks. The Bulls will need Ayo Dosunmu to step up in Caruso’s absence once again after a solid showing on Sunday against the Pistons.
