Las Vegas Raiders Bring Back Fullback Jakob Johnson

Last week, the Las Vegas Raiders waived veteran fullback Jakob Johnson. Following the move, Raiders Interim Head Coach Antonio Pierce told the media, “We’ll be fine there, and then, hopefully something works out in the near future to get him [Johnson] back.” Lo and behold, that hope was fulfilled Tuesday when the club announced it had signed Johnson to the practice squad.

Prior to Johnson’s waive last week, the second-year Raiders fullback had missed Las Vegas’ game against the New York Giants after suffering a concussion in Week 8 to the Detroit Lions. He had played in each of the previous seven games. In total, Johnson has played in 25 games for the Silver and Black, including every contest last season. He has logged 416 offensive snaps and 225 special teams snaps in that time.
