Interest from Arsenal and Juventus was earlier reported regarding Timothy Castagne, but nothing came to the surface and that probably would have triggered the Belgian international to a move earlier on, and surprised to see him now getting closer to a move to Fulham.
Fulham has shown their interest and will be able to meet demands from both the player himself and of course agreeing a good and acceptable transfer fee as this move is said to be happening.
Enzo Maresca played Timothy Castagne regularly during pre-season, but since the friendly against Liverpool, he has been reluctant to give Castagne any look in at all, being seen on the bench in the game on Saturday.
This might be the last seen of Castagne in a Leicester shirt, and sadly another quality player is leaving the club, but the key is to keep what is needed to just complete a promotion and as well being able to reduce the wage bill and get players out to downsize the squad of players.
Timothy Castagne joined Leicester back in 2020 from Atalanta. He added up 91 league games, scoring 5 goals. His transfer fee, three years ago was €20.9million, with Leicester likely to be looking at the same figure when they agree with Fulham of this move, as it looks to be drawn up early next week.
Life goes on with fond memories of a player that brought quality to both the left and right back position, being one establishing himself as a certain alternative at Belgium during his days at the club, representing his country as a Leicester player both in the 2021 Euro’s and the 2022 World Cup.
So far been capped 33 times at full international level
