Club ‘rubbing their hands together’ at Leicester City buying player – Confidence deal will happen is growing

Leicester City’s start to the season has been a reason for big excitement in Portugal.

Sporting are hoping the Foxes get promoted to the Premier League, so they’ll have to buy Issahaku Fatawu from the Lions.

Portuguese newspaper Record is the one featuring a story about the winger, who has just been named in the Championship’s team of the week.

Fatawu scored a goal in Leicester City’s 3-1 away win against Swansea City, and that obviously helped his nomination.

As Sporting watch the situation, they know his good performances aren’t enough for his loan to turn into a permanent move, as the purchase clause is actually tied to promotion.

Record recalls that in case Leicester City do make it to the Premier League next season, then they’ll have to pay the Portuguese club €17m for the signing.

Fatawu wasn’t exactly wanted at the Lisbon side, and is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €4m, so that’d be a great piece of business for the Lions.
