Dallas Cowboys add former first-round pick who spent time with Eagles prior to showdown with Philadelphia
The Dallas Cowboys have added some defensive help heading into Sunday’s showdown at the Philadelphia Eagles.
The team announced Saturday that linebacker Rashaan Evans has been elevated from the practice squad.
If that name rings a bell, it should, because the 27-year-old Evans is a former college star at Alabama who was taken in the first round, 22nd-overall, of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.
He played for the team through the 2021 season and spent 2022 with the Atlanta Falcons.

Evans is also a name Eagles fans might know because he spent time with the team this year.
Evans was in on 159 tackles with two sacks last season with the Falcons so Dallas has added a guy with some talent, who also happens to be somewhat familiar with Philadelphia, before the big game.
The Eagles enter the NFC East showdown 7-1 while the Cowboys are 5-2.
