After the Watford performance, Daniel Farke tells a Leeds player he needs to quit attempting to humiliate the opposition.
Despite the fact that Leeds United crushed Watford today, Daniel Farke still had time to complain a little bit after the game.
Farke observed as his squad put on yet another fantastic performance to defeat the Hornets. The Elland Road crowd cheered and witnessed some thrilling attacking football.
Georgino Rutter’s performance was crucial to that thrilling game of football. Nevertheless, Daniel Farke found time to express his dissatisfaction with one area of his play despite Rutter’s success.
Rutter is warned by Farke to stop making other players seem bad.
Despite Rutter playing well, Farke reportedly had words with him after the game, according to respected Leeds journalist Phil Hay.
Using social media to disseminate the news, Hay notes that while attempting to create magical moments, Farke has instructed Rutter to respect and not humiliate opponents.
Rutter is playing with huge confidence and showed a moment of skill as early as the 28th minute that displayed just what he’s all about right now.
The forward then went on to set up Jaidon Anthony with a superb piece of play to round off his display.
Keeping things grounded
This is one of the most manager comments you could ever read, isn’t it?
A player finally finds something in his game, excites the crowd, plays well, and then gets told to curb it a bit by his own manager.
Of course, Farke will just be acting in the interests of Rutter and it’s probably a good thing really.
But right now, Rutter just needs to be enjoying his football and while he is enjoying it, Leeds are looking like they’ll benefit from things.
