Bayern Munich bid club record 120 million euros for Harry Kane
Bayern Munich made their latest offer for Harry Kane to Tottenham Hotspur, with the Bundesliga giants willing to pay a maximum of 120 million euros (about $132.3 million) to bring the English ace striker from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to Allianz Arena, according to ESPN.
Having been rejected multiple times by Tottenham, Bayern bid 100 million euros (about $110.3 million) guaranteed plus up to 20 million euros (about $22.1 million) as add-ons this time and made Friday midnight the deadline for the north London-based club to accept it.
So far, there is no report on whether Tottenham will accept or reject Bayern’s latest offer.

Kane only has one year left on his current contract with Spurs, who have been trying to talk him into accepting a new deal that may double his salary. The two sides have made no progress so far. ESPN reported that Kane has no intention to sign an extension with the club.
Bayern, having lost their long-time star striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona last summer and sent his failed replacement Sadio Mane to Al-Nassr this summer, are in desperate need of a tall, efficient center forward like Kane. Bayern won nothing but the Bundesliga title last season, not to mention in a very close race with Borussia Dortmund. They will definitely want to make a difference in the 2023-24 campaign.

Kane may be the closest player Bayern can find to fill Lewandowski’s role. He has scored 280 goals and provided 64 assists for Spurs in 435 games but has not won even a single trophy. They were the Premier League runners-up in the 2016-17 season, when they finished seven points behind the champions Chelsea. The club reached the UEFA Champions League final during the 2018-19 campaign but lost to Liverpool 2-0 the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain.
If Kane stays in England, it would only be a matter of time for him (212 goals) to break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goals record (260), but Tottenham, judging by their current roster and their Chairman Daniel Levy’s way of football operation, are not even close to helping Kane break his title drought.
