FREE AGENT JACK FITZWATER ADDED TO EXETER CITY’S SQUAD
Exeter City have signed 25-year-old Jack Fitzwater on a two-year contract. Jack is a centre-half and is Gary Caldwell’s 11th signing of the summer. Jack was released by Scottish Premiership side Livingston in the summer and Caldwell was able to sign him as a free agent after the transfer deadline ended on 1 September.
Birmingham born Jack Fitzwater came through the ranks at West Brom and was the Baggies’ U23s captain in Premier League 2, in 2017 and went on loan at Forest Green and Walsall. He signed a new two-year contract with West Brom in January 2018, but didn’t make their first team in the League.
Jack Fitzwater joined Livingston of the Scottish Premier League in July 2022. In all, Jack has made 174 first team appearances and has scored 14 goals.
Jack has been allocated the number 24 shirt at Exeter City.
Manager Gary Caldwell said:
Jack is someone we had tracked for quite a while and I have had great references from contacts up in Scotland.
He has played a lot of games and fits the profile of player we are looking for, he comes in to an already strong defensive unit and provides competition in that area. He has a really big future and we always look to bring in players who look to develop and improve.
