Sources: Neeskens Kebano agrees to join Middle East club from Fulham

Neeskens Kebano has agreed a deal to join UAE club Al Jazira days after leaving Fulham, sources have told Football Insider.

The 31-year-old winger left Craven Cottage at the end of June following the expiry of his contract.

Now a free agent, Kebano has agreed terms to join Al Jazira ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.

The DR Congo international spent seven years at Craven Cottage after first joining Fulham in the summer of 2016.

During his time with the London club, Kebano has been involved in three promotions from the Championship to the top flight, including Fulham’s title-winning campaign in 2021/22.

Kebano will depart Fulham this summer having made 160 senior appearances for the side, scoring 24 goals and assisting 18 times in the process.

However, his playing time in the 2022/23 season became limited under Marco Silva, with the Portuguese boss only handing the winger 17 league appearances.

Kebano started the season as one of the first-choice wingers at Fulham, appearing in 12 of their first 13 league fixtures.

However, he suffered a major Achilles rupture in November that left him on the sideline for the majority of the campaign.

Kebano returned to the first team in April but failed to start any of Fulham’s final eight games of the season.

Out of Silva’s plans at Fulham, Kebano has now turned his attention to three-time UAE Pro League champions Al Jazira.

The Abu-Dhabi-based club last won the league title in 2020/21 and are owned by Man City owner Sheikh Mansour.
