Hull City closing in on two new signings to bolster their ranks

Hull City are closing in on two targets as they look to bolster their ranks, as detailed in a report by HullLive.

Hull City are keen to add more reinforcements to their ranks between now and the end of the transfer window following the start of the new Championship season.

The Tigers have been patient with their recruitment so far this summer and have managed to bring in striker Liam Delap, left-back Ruben Vinagre and winger Jason Lokilo to date with more on the way.

Rosenior is excited by the profile of player they have been targeting and has told HullLive“I am telling you now, there is going to be some exciting news coming in the next few days, I can say that with a lot of certainty now, which is why I’m smiling. And it’s going to change the whole energy and mood of this club.”

Hull aiming to be busy

Hull City could do with some more firepower in attacking areas. They have let Benjamin Tetteh leave for French club Metz which will free up space and funds in their squad to pave the way for new additions.

The Tigers were beaten 2-1 on the opening day of the campaign away at Norwich City after last-gasp winner by Adam Idah and they then lost 2-1 in the Carabao Cup at home to League Two outfit Doncaster Rovers last time.

They have a chance to bounce back from those disappointing results with a win over Sheffield Wednesday this weekend at the MKM Stadium. Rosenior arrived in November last year to replace Shota Arveladze and has significantly tightened up the Tigers’ defence since then.

However, they have lacked that cutting edge up front during the former Derby County manager’s time back in East Yorkshire so far and that is something the club will be eager to address before the end of the transfer window on 1st September.

He has been backed by the owner Acun Ilicali since arriving and they need to ensure that they get their recruitment right if they are to match their ambitions.
