‘Negotiations are progressing’ after Burnley make offer for signing – Personal terms ‘shouldn’t be an issue’
At the weekend, Het Belang van Limburg reported Burnley stand out in the race for Mike Trésor who’s valued at €25m by Genk. It was also stated Vincent Kompany has followed the winger for a long time and would love to sign him for the Clarets.
Trésor scored eight goals and registered 24 assists last season and now wants to continue his career in the Premier League.
That’s according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who states Burnley have made an offer to sign the 24-year-old.
He adds the ‘negotiations are progressing’ between the English club and the Jupiler Pro League side for a loan deal with an option to buy but makes no mention of the figures proposed by Burnley.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri also took to Twitter to add that Kompany’s side are still keen on the attacker and working to find an agreement with Genk for his transfer.
Burnley haven’t yet opened talks to discuss personal terms with Trésor. Tavolieri says that ‘shouldn’t be an issue’, considering that the player seems keen to play under Kompany’s orders at Turf Moor.
