Nottingham Forest have “agreed a deal” with Brazilian centre-back Murillo, according to reports.
The 21-year-old plies his trade with Corinthians, where he has burst onto the scene this year and become one of the first names on the team sheet, despite playing just 27 senior games.
He could now become the latest player from Brazil to make the move to the City Ground, where he would join fellow countrymen Danilo, Felipe and the incoming Andrey Santos.
That’s according to transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, who has given an update. “Nottingham Forest have presented first bid to sign Brazilian centre back Murillo from Corinthians,” he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Terms agreed with player side as called by Brazilian sources, now clubs in talks as Nottingham are pushing.”
His information has been corroborated by Brazilian outlet R7 Esportes, who say Murillo has “already accepted an offer” from Forest, with personal terms fully settled.
They also claim Forest’s latest offer was 13 million euros, with another 3 million euros in add-ons. Those negotiating the deal are “optimistic about a positive outcome”, it is said.
He is set to become the most expensive defender to be sold by a club in Brazil, eclipsing deals which saw Breno go to Bayern Munich and Yerry Mina to Barcelona.
