Jerry Jones ‘Wouldn’t Trade’ Dallas Cowboys Defense – NFL’s Best? Top 10 FISH PODCAST
RISCO – The Dallas Cowboys are on a roll … with coach Mike McCarthy talking of the “Texas Coast Offense” and how it is “hitting on all cylinders” and with owner Jerry Jones crafting a provocative question as to whether his defense is the NFL’s best.
“I would say this,” Jones said following the 49-17 win in NFL Week 10 on Sunday over the New York Giants. “I’m glad we have this defense. I wouldn’t trade this defense for any other in the league.”
Add it all up, and while the Cowboys are 6-3 – a good record, of course, but still a few ticks behind rival Philadelphia at 8-1 – they are most definitely feeling good about themselves. … and about their “rising standard.”
Said McCarthy: “It’s really cool when you see CeeDee (Lamb), or a player, just really hit his stride. You know what’s great for the Dallas Cowboys is that he’s going to be doing that for a long time. I think with Dak Prescott, you have a guy that you can grow with. Not only is it great for those two, but it’s good for the whole group.
“It raises the standard that everybody has to play to.”
That “standard” takes us to the “Dallas Cowboys Top 10 Takes from the Record-Setting Blowout: The FISH PODCAST,” which you can listen to here.
