Iraola looking forward to getting players back at Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola is looking forward to getting his squad back together following the latest international break.
Since the defeat to Everton, the Cherries have seen a number of players travel around the world on international duty.
Three players joined up with Wales for victories over Gibraltar and Croatia, Kieffer Moore scored twice against Gibraltar, whilst David Brooks bagged an assist against Croatia. Chris Mepham also featured in the win over Croatia.
Ryan Christie and Luis Sinisterra both featured for Scotland and Colombia respectively, with Scotland securing qualification for the 2024 UEFA European Championships after Spain won in Norway.
Milos Kerkez played for Hungary as they beat Serbia 2-1, Antoine Semenyo’s Ghana lost 2-0 to Mexico, whilst Hamed Traore’s Ivory Coast drew 1-1 with Morocco.
Dango Ouattara’s Burkina Faso drew 0-0 with Equatoral Guinea on Friday, however, Dango’s international duties are not yet over as Burkina Faso face Mauritania on Tuesday.
Speaking before the players departed, Iraola told the Daily Echo…
“It’s not easy because it’s true that last break I think we had like nine players, something like this.
“We were training with eight or nine players.
“So you can focus more on individual stuff, individual details from each position, but not to work in something more collective because at the end sometimes even in some positions, you don’t have players.
So imagine we don’t have Milos (Kerkez) so we probably we don’t have anyone to work on the left side or whatever.
“But it’s a good moment to improve the individual stuff from the players that stay here.”
Your say…

What a watch that was compared to the dross served by England on Friday. Well done to our boys, Moore, Meps, and Brooks. The last 15 minutes were breathless. England are so boring in comparison – To join the conversation, click here.
