The Red Devils lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich in the middle of the week after also losing to Brighton and Arsenal in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag’s team will be eager to change their fortunes at Turf Moor as they have only won two of their six competitive games thus far this season.

Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire, and Sofyan Amrabat might all be eligible for Ten Hag to use again after their respective injuries. This would surely help United, who have five more games in 15 days, including another Champions League match, before the next international break. Here is the most recent Old Trafford news.

Ten Hag gives Burnley praise
Ten Hag praised Burnley’s brand of football as Vincent Kompany’s team attempted to get back on track despite losing all four of their opening Premier League games this year.

In fact, the Clarets’ last league win came on the final day of the 2022/23 Championship-winning campaign as they swept Cardiff aside 3-0. Since their return to the top-flight, Burnley have been beaten at home by Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham, while earning a controversial 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest on Monday.

Burnley have picked up one point from their four Premier League matches

Burnley felt aggrieved that they did not collect all three points from The City Ground – three weeks since their win over the same opposition in the Carabao Cup – after Lyle Foster’s second-half strike was ruled out by VAR. To make matters worse, the Clarets will be without Foster for the game against United after he was shown a straight red card in injury time for elbowing Ryan Yates.

When quizzed about the Clarets, Ten Hag said: “We know how intense they play football, we know their approach, I like the approach from them, the adventure, high intensity and dynamic in their game, so we have to play our best.”
