Green Bay Packers OC Adam Stenavich Reveals Long Term Plan For Left Tackle Rotation

Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich has to be happy with the progress of his offense. They have put together back-to-back solid performances and a big part of it is the play of the offensive line. After David Bakhtiari injured his knee again, the Packers have had trouble solidifying the left tackle position. Stenavich talked about how the current plan is working and what the long-term plan is.

Adam Stenavich is comfortable with #Packers LT rotation for now, but would prefer it not continue to be rotation throughout rest of this season: “I think it’s working right now, but you definitely want somebody to grab hold of that starting position and be the guy.”

Green Bay Packers OC Adam Stenavich Talks Left Tackle Rotation

Rasheed Walker and Yosh Nijman have been sharing the snaps and Stenavich is happy with how it has looked. However, he is hoping one of the players steps up and becomes the clear left tackle for this team. “I think it’s working right now, but you definitely want somebody to grab hold of that starting position and be the guy,” Stenavich told reporters. This makes complete sense. A rotating cast on the offensive line is not usually a recipe for success. Offensive line play is often better when there is continuity and Stenavich would like to see that happen.

A Much Improved Unit

This unit was bad at the beginning of the year. It is so promising to see this group improve so drastically in a short amount of time. A big part of the reason that Jordan Love and the offense have looked so much better is there is actually time for plays to develop. The Packers must have one of the best infrastrucutres for developing offensive linemen. It seems that year after year, they are able to find talent late in the draft and develop them into qualilty starters.

The offensive line will have their hands full this week with the Kansas City Chiefs defensive line. If they can hold their own, it will be a huge confidence boost going into the last part of the season.
