After unsuccessful takeover bids at Sunderland and Coventry City, William Storey is interested in Reading.
In 2020, the CEO of Rich Energy attempted to buy Sunderland from Stewart Donald.

Following the failure of his attempts to acquire Sunderland and Coventry City, William Storey is now considering a deal to buy Reading.

Following discoveries about Storey’s turbulent economic background, Sunderland fans responded with worry when rumors of a takeover of the club in 2020 started to spread.

Before the inventor of the energy drink company, Rich Energy, turned his focus to Coventry City, Storey’s attempts finally failed.

Reading, who were relegated from the Championship last season, were deducted three points in League One by the EFL recently after the actions of owner Dai Yongge, who has failed to deposit a sum equal to 125 per cent of the club’s wage bill into an account before the deadline last week.

Storey attended St Andrew’s University and says he was once signed up by QPR but was released before making a senior appearance.

After establishing Rich Energy in 2015, he then launched a sport management company before transitioning into the energy drink industry. The company didn’t start operating until six years after the alleged 2009 invention of the drink.
