Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs GAMEDAY Preview: How to Watch, Injury Report, Betting Odds
The San Antonio Spurs (3-2) are back home and are set to return to action today in a Sunday matinee against the visiting Toronto Raptors (2-4).
The Spurs are coming off consecutive wins at home against the Phoenix Suns, who they beat at the Footprint Center on Tuesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, the Raptors have lost four of their last five after coming away victorious in their opening game.
The Spurs will be short-handed today as starting shooting guard Devin Vassell is out with a groin injury, and he’ll be expected to miss a decent amount of time. This will force the Spurs to adjust, likely forcing Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson and Victor Wembanyama into larger offensive roles. Tre Jones is the likeliest player to replace him in the starting lineup.
The Raptors have won five straight head-to-head matchups against the Spurs. San Antonio will have the opportunity to get its first victory against Toronto since Dec. 26, 2020.
