‘He is very ambitious’ – Blackburn boss heaps praise on Irish teen star Andrew Moran
Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson has hailed “intelligent” Irish loan star Andrew Moran after he delivered a stunning display in Blackburn Rovers’ League Cup win over Cardiff City.
Moran, on loan from Brighton to Rovers, scored twice and also claimed two assists in a 5-2 win which earned Blackburn progress to the next round where they have been draw away to Chelsea.
The 19-year-old had played five league games for Blackburn before the Cup tie but the night against Cardiff belonged to Moran
“He is great player, first of all. He scores goals, he can give assists. He’s intelligent, his flair on the ball is extremely good, to carry the ball, he’s good to play one or two touches. He works hard for the team,” Tomasson said of Moran.
“He is a young boy, young man, who is also very driven. He wants to become better, he is very ambitious. So we are very pleased with Andy.”
