“He’s struggling,” says a Sky pundit. Everton player, 22, is simply too slow for the Premier League.

According to Stephen Warnock, Amadou Onana is too slow for the Premier League.

The Sky Sports News analyst acknowledged that he doesn’t believe the Everton midfielder has the athleticism necessary to succeed in the premier league.

Onana paid £33 million to go from Lille to Everton last summer. He then made 34 appearances across all competitions.

With their victory over Bournemouth on the penultimate day of the season, the Toffees

narrowly avoided relegation, and the Belgian turned out to be one of their better performers.

Onana later attracted interest from clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United, but the moves never materialized and it appeared that Everton’s high expectations kept the midfielder at Goodison Park.

Onana, who has struggled mightily in their first five games, produced yet another lackluster performance as the Toffees fell to Arsenal over the weekend.

Warnock has been critical of the 22-year-old’s club performances as a result of his form’s collapse.

Against Arsenal, Amadou Onana was ‘elusive’
Onana was elusive yesterday, the former Liverpool defender observed on Sky Sports News’ The Football Show.

Although there has been chatter of this player playing at a higher level, he is currently having difficulty making an impact at Everton. Idrissa Gueye also performed horribly. They weren’t able to keep up with the game’s tempo.

Dyche is having issues because athleticism and a midfielder with ball-controlling skills are essential in the Premier League.

Despite Onana’s lackluster start to the season, WhoScored has ranked him third for the Toffees in their first five games, behind Jarrad Branthwaite and Beto.

Although Onana isn’t any better due to the team’s disastrous start. However, it’s possible that Everton are keeping him from progressing.
