Hull City’s star draws interest “every time,” claims the club’s executive

Jacob Greaves, according to Hull City vice-chairman Tan Kesler, draws interest “all the time.”
The defender was retained by Hull City during the most recent transfer window.

Greaves, 23, is an important member of his hometown team and has a deal with the MKM Stadium that runs through the summer of 2026.

Kesler gave BBC Humberside Sport the following update on his situation: “Honestly, we get interest all the time. After deciding that this was Jacob’s year, we stopped seriously considering proposals. It never reached that stage.

We have never attempted to sell our athletes. To us, they are all valuable. They are significant individuals on this trip.

Under the direction of owner Acun Ilicali, Hull will be eager to hold onto Greaves for as long as possible as they attempt to get promoted to the Premier League. The center-back has so far remained committed to the East Yorkshire team and has never actively sought a transfer elsewhere.

He played regularly for them at several youth levels and advanced through the local team’s academy. The Cottingham-born player played for Cheltenham Town on loan for the 2019–2020 season, getting his first taste of first-team action.

Additionally, he has three times been awarded Young Player of the Season. If Hull is unable to win the Championship, they may have trouble holding onto him in the future. But for the time being, the player will concentrate on the task at hand as his team faces Leeds United this evening.
