“I’m Extremely Excited For It” Patrick Mahomes Anticipates Debut At Lambeau Field, Expresses Excitement For Chiefs Vs. Packers Clash
The popular Kansas City Chiefs” quarterback, who has proven to be a pivotal player in the team, has made a mark in the NFL, achieving feats in his career.
However, the veteran player, despite setting foot at the Lambeau Field, has not yet graced the turf.
Well, things are about to take a turn this Sunday when the Chiefs confront the Green Bay Packers.
The anticipation is palpable among the fans and, most notably, Mahomes himself, who admitted to being ‘extremely excited’ for his approaching debut at the historic Lambeau field.
“I’m extremely excited for it,” Mahomes said of playing at Lambeau in his Wednesday press conference. “I’ve watched it my whole entire life, and I know it’s going to be a hostile environment; the fans are going to be loud, it’s going to be a lot like Arrowhead is to other teams like you’re saying.
“I’m excited, if you love football, you love Lambeau Field. I’m excited to get the opportunity to play there.”
Despite the absence of Mahomes” remarkable play at the Lambeau Field, the Kansas City Chiefs have been no underdogs in performance.
The team”s success in past games played at the home field of Green Bay Packers has been commendable, albeit these victories drew from Mahomes’ guided prowess at the Arrowhead Stadium.
For instance, while an unfortunate knee injury sidelined him in 2019, the Chiefs again took on The Packers during the regular season.
The Green Bay Packers have significantly improved in their football performance, as evidenced by their triumph against the Chargers and Lions in their recent games.
Mahomes acknowledged observing the Packers play in their impressive Thanksgiving victory over Detroit.
“Jordan [Love] has gotten better and better every single game,” Mahomes said. “He’s always had the talent, but when you get more and more reps — I mean he didn’t play for three years basically — so he’s gotten more and more reps, you can see how much more comfortable he’s getting.
“They have playmakers everywhere, and their defense can play. … It will be a great challenge for us, and they’re a hot football team that just beat another great football team so they have confidence coming in. We’ve got to match that confidence and try to find a way to win a football game.”
