Exeter City to play Wigan Athletic in FA Cup first round
The tie will be played over the weekend of November 4/5
Exeter City will play Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup first round. The Grecians will host The Latics in November for a place in the second round.
It will be the second time Exeter will play Wigan in just two weeks. The League One fixture takes place at St James Park on October 21, with the FA Cup tie expected to be played on Saturday, November 4.
Grecians boss Gary Caldwell has fond memories of the FA Cup. He famously won the trophy with Wigan as a player back in 2013 when they defeated Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley.

The first round proper will be held between Friday 3 and Monday 6 November, with clubs at this stage picking up £40,000 from the competition’s prize fund.
