Daniel Farke must axe Leeds United ace Glen Kamara after embarrassing international display
Daniel Farke must now drop Glen Kamara from his Leeds United XI for the trip to Norwich after an embarrassing display for Finland in their 3-0 European Championship qualifier against Slovenia.
The midfielder played in a slightly more advanced position than the one he takes up in the White shirt at Elland Road, but the new role did him no favours and Farke certainly won’t be tempted into any experimentation.
His Finland side fell two goals down inside just 28 minutes before the battering was rounded off in the 92nd minute, and Kamara failed to have any meaningful impact on the game.
Kamara’s average position suggests he played as a creative attacking midfielder, slightly behind the striker but ahead of the base midfielders as he attempted to provide an outlet for his side, although Sofascore lists his position as starting on the left wing.
Despite Finland having the majority of possession, Kamara lost the ball 13 times, gave away three free-kicks through fouls, and made just one tackle in 90 minutes in midfield.
He was dribbled past once, and winning just five of 12 attempted ground duels both in and out of possession will have done his team no favours as he struggled to get a grip on the game. A 33% aerial duel success rate shows how he struggled in that department too. [Sofascore]

Overall his display failed to impress, and while you could argue he was in an unfamiliar role, plenty of the stats on show would have been a real disappointment to a player in the middle of the park, and Daniel Farke should not risk a repeat of this display for Leeds.
With Archie Gray having been forced out to right-back, where he turned in a thoroughly impressive display, he will now have the opportunity to reclaim his natural central position in a bit to nail down the spot as his own.
