Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha expectation explained as Leicester City backed to get ‘even stronger’

Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as Khun Top is expected to back Enzo Maresca in the January transfer window

Leicester City have been backed to be “even stronger” after the January transfer window.

The Foxes look to be cruising back to the Premier League after an almost perfect start to this season in the Championship. Enzo Maresca’s men are top of the table having won 10 of their 11 matches.

They are two points clear of second-placed Ipswich Town and a massive 10 points above Preston, who are in third spot. They also boast easily the best defensive record in the division, having conceded just six goals.

There were some high-profile departures from the King Power Stadium during the summer, led by James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans, following relegation from the Premier League. But Maresca pulled off a few coups in the transfer market, landing the likes of Conor Coady and Harry Winks and Cesare Casadei, who is on loan from Chelsea.

City also kept hold of the likes of Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Maresca is now being backed to make City even stronger in the January transfer window with the backing of owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, which is ominous for the rest of the Championship. And the Foxes are being tipped to break Reading’s Championship record points tally of 106 en-route back to the top-flight

“Leicester City have had a fantastic start to their season in the Championship,” former England international Carlton Palmer told Football League World. “It’s a record-breaking start to the season, this is after they were relegated after the last game of last season, losing players like James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans in the summer.
