In the Youth League encounter between Milan and Newcastle, a 15-year-old breaks the record. Future one to keep an eye on
Today’s UEFA Youth League matchup between Newcastle United and AC Milan’s young players came before their Champions League matchup.
With their 4-0 victory over the Magpies in the match in Italy, the Rossoneri made their competitive debut with a very strong showing.
As revealed by Sport Italia, a record was indeed broken in that game. Francesco Camarda, a striker for Milan, accomplished that.
The 15-year-old Italian kid made history by being the youngest player to ever score in the Youth League when he scored the second goal for the Rossoneri against Newcastle.
He not only scored that goal, but he also assisted on Milan’s third goal to help them win. He has also played for young Italian teams.
Now that teams like Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain are also in that group, Newcastle’s youthful players will face a difficult challenge to advance to the knockout stage.
The Magpies’ first team is currently preparing for their Champions League debut against Milan and is likely hoping for better fortune than the squad’s younger players.
