City will travel to Anfield to play Liverpool in the third round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Burton Albion and Tranmere Rovers earlier this season in the first and second rounds, respectively. The contest takes place four days after City defeated Bristol City 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.

In light of their busy schedules, both teams are expected to make adjustments for the encounter against Liverpool. Conor Coady, a defender who has been out with an injury for the past three games but was chosen to the squad anyway, might get the chance to make his City debut as a result.
