Kieran Trippier responds to reports that Newcastle United and the player earning £120,000 per week have reached an agreement.

KIERAN TRIPPIER REACTS TO THE STORY THAT NEWCASTLE UNITED AND THE £120,000 WEEK STAR HAVE AGREED A DEAL

Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post claiming that Bruno Guimaraes and Newcastle United have reached an agreement on a new contract has received the support of Kieran Trippier.

Similar to Kieran Trippier, the Newcastle United midfielder joined the team during the 2022 January transfer window, and he quickly won over the supporters.

Bruno Guimaraes not only assisted Eddie Howe’s team in avoiding relegation to the Championship but also went on to be one of the key players that led the team back to the Champions League the following season.

Due to all of this, it is understandable that the Brazil star’s stock has increased and outside teams, including Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, have expressed interest in his box-to-box skills.

But the Magpies are extending the stay of their all-action midfielder in order to quiet that uproar.

It has been claimed by Fabrizio Romano on Instagram that a deal ‘until June 2028’ has been signed and there will be a ‘release clause in the region of £100 million’ in there as well. This post, which you can see below, was liked and approved by Kieran Trippier himself.

Bruno Guimaraes – one of the Premier League’s best

In terms of all-round midfielders today in the Premier League, not many can match or lay a candle to Bruno Guimaraes.

His vision, ability to split lines, aggression without the ball and the comfortable nature in which he carries it, makes him one of Newcastle’s most important players.

If Eddie Howe is to guide the team back into the Champions League, reach the knockout stages of the UCL or even win a trophy, then their £120k-a-week star (Spotrac) in the middle of the park has to play a huge, huge role.
