Leeds United boss makes ‘unbelievable’ Leicester City admission
Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as Daniel Farke praises the Foxes as they sit top of the Championship
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke says Leicester City are having an “unbelievable” season, but he’s not giving up on his side’s chances of ultimately challenging the Foxes at the top of the Championship.
Enzo Maresca’s City are an impressive five points clear at the summit of the division after 11 wins in 12 matches. They have also scored the most goals in the division (26) and conceded the fewest (seven)
They are 11 points above Leeds, who are in third place in the table as they also aim to win promotion back to the Premier League after relegation alongside the Foxes last season.

Both teams are in action in midweek, with City facing Sunderland at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday (8pm kick-off) and Leeds travelling to Stoke City on Wednesday (8pm).
Asked about the strength of teams at the top end of the Championship this season, with Ipswich Town in second place and Preston, Southampton and Sunderland completing the top six, Farke said at his pre-match press conference: “Both (Leicester and Ipswich) unbelievable points tallies. Southampton too. Quality is huge this year.
“This league was quite often decided relatively soon in previous years. Don’t see that this year because of how many clubs are competing for honours this season. We are taking part and we want to be successful.”
