Suns Veteran Criticizes Officials Decisions About Kevin Durant
The Phoenix Suns are yet to truly play at their full strength due to consistent injury troubles with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
However, one player who has been extremely consistent for the Suns this season is none other than Kevin Durant.
Durant has been carrying the team on his back for the majority of the season.
But even Durant is bound to have a few bad games over the course of the season, and an abysmal shooting night in the second half against the Denver Nuggets was the perfect example of it.
After the loss, Suns center Jusuf Nurkic claimed via Duane Rankin on Twitter that his teammate Kevin Durant struggled to score due to a lack of foul calls on him by the referees.
“To be honest with you, I don’t want to get fined, but I think it has to do with him not getting extra calls. It’s Kevin Durant,” Nurkic said.
Kevin Durant had an underwhelming 0-10 shooting performance in the second half against the Nuggets.
While there have been times when Durant has been robbed of foul calls during his career, the recent matchup against the Nuggets wasn’t one of them.
After all, the Nuggets shot just 12 free throws in the entire game.
On the other hand, Durant alone went to the charity stripe 13 times throughout the game and made every shot count.
If Durant hadn’t received these foul calls, his final stat line would have looked worse.
Durant finished the game with 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 11 assists while shooting 8-25 from the field, including 1-3 from the three-point line.
To be honest, it was simply a bad shooting night from Durant, nothing less or nothing more.
