Oldham Athletic midfielder Sheron signs one-year extension
Midfielder Nathan Sheron has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at Boundary Park until the summer of 2025.
The 25-year-old was a John Sheridan signing in the summer of 2022 from Harrogate Town, and has been an ever present in all bar two league games since then – playing every minute of his 54 games.
Of his new deal – reward for his relentless graft in midfield – Sheron said: “I’m buzzing and over the moon to have signed a new contract with the club.
“It’s a proud moment for me.
“I just want to keep playing games, putting in consistent performances and helping the team win games.”
Interim boss Steve Thompson said Sheron had earned his contract extension.
“I’m delighted for Shez that he’s signed a new contract. Thoroughly deserved,” he said.
“He’s a no-nonsense midfield player who can give you options, as well as a utility player. It’s thoroughly deserved and I’m delighted for him.”
