As Spurs want for a player who is “100%” exit-bound, Arsenal seeks a £25 million “next Jude Bellingham” steal.
The most recent information on transfers involving Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal in the Premier League
It’s Wednesday, my bros, to quote the man who used to post on Vine dressed as Spider-Man and sporting a pair of swimming goggles. And of course, you already know what that means—transfer rumors for the Premier League! Then course, we publish one of these round-ups every day, so I suppose “Premier League transfer rumours” apply every day!
Anyway, today’s crop of rumors has a clear London concentration, with Chelsea pursuing goalkeepers, Ivan Toney pursuing a Brentford escape, and Arsenal pursuing a young man dubbed “the next Jude Bellingham.” There is no pressure, therefore.
You won’t believe this, but Chelsea is reportedly interested in more possible signings! I’m aware, right? They are very dissimilar to them! The Blues could very well be in the market for a new goalkeeper soon enough, according to 90min, and are keeping an eye on Everton and England number one Pickford in particular. This is despite the fact that the Blues spent a combined £39 million on Robert Sanchez and Dorde Petrovic over the summer.
The Toffees could be forced into a sale next summer amid ongoing financial uncertainty, and if they do part company with the 29-year-old, it is suggested that Mauricio Pochettino’s men could swoop. Also on their radar are Porto stopper Diogo Costa, and Valencia talent Giorgi Mamardashvili.
The 3AM Verdict: Despite signing Sanchez and Petrovic over the summer, it is hard to shake the suspicion that Chelsea could still do with reinforcements between the sticks. Pickford, for all of his detractors, is one of the finest shot stoppers and distributors in the Premier League on his day, and it does feel as if a move to one of the division’s more competitive sides is long overdue.
Toney set for exit
Elsewhere, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has insisted that Brentford talisman Ivan Toney is destined to leave the club in the near future. The striker is currently serving a ban for gambling-related offences, but remains a target for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
Speaking about the 27-year-old, he said: “I think Toney is going to leave Brentford in 2024 – 100%, that’s the feeling of those close to him, so let’s see if that’s going to be January or the summer transfer window.”
The 3AM Verdict: Were it not for his ban, you suspect that there is a good chance Toney might have been prised away from Brentford before now. The striker is a fine player who has proven time and time again that he has what it takes to thrive in the Premier League, and whoever does end up signing him will be bringing in a real asset. The race for his signature begins now…
