Young midfielder from Chesterfield joins National League team on loan
Bailey Hobson, a young midfielder for Chesterfield, has been loaned out.
The Alfreton Town player who was signed in the summer but hasn’t played yet this year has joined Kidderminster Harriers for one month.
After only one victory in their first ten games, Kiddy, who gained promotion to the National League previous season, are third from the bottom.
The loan move will give Hobson an opportunity to get some minutes at this level for the first time.
Hobson, who signed a two-year contract with Chesterfield and scored seven goals in 46 games to help the Reds reach the playoffs last year, was the club’s first summer signing.
He is qualified to play in Saturday’s away game against Eastleigh for Kidderminster.
After Laurence Maguire’s transfer to Crawley Town last month, the attacking midfielder is the second player the Spireites have loaned out.
“Could be given his chance,” Chesterfield said of the starting lineup for Wealdstone’s visit.
