NEWS FLASH: Fulham is willing to pay for a player. ‘More successful right now than Mbappe and Haaland’

Marco Silva was the man who rejected the chance to sign 22-year-old from Chelsea for Fulham

The player would have cost money, according to Fulham. ‘More successful right now than Mbappe and Haaland’

To replace Aleksandr Mitrovic, Fulham ‘would have been prepared’ to pay the €15 million transfer fee to VfB Stuttgart for Serhou Guirassy.

Sky Sports Germany, which supports rumors that Fulham were interested in the striker but put a price on the transaction, says as much.

According to a source from last month, Fulham was interested in Guirassy but was unable to reach an agreement with Stuttgart for him before the transfer market closed.

That did not detail the price they would have paid but Sky now say that Marco Silva’s side ‘would have been prepared’ to pay the €15m that was required.

The problem, it seems, was the player who ‘refused’ the offer and wanted to stay with the German side. His family is happy where they are, and he is appreciative of the ‘enormous appreciation’ from all sections at the club.

He’s now rewarding that faith with goals, with a tally of eight league goals from the first four league games meaning he is the most lethal striker in Europe.

He’s topping the charts ahead of serious competition and is currently ‘more successful’ than Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. The fact he has also scored from just eight shots, therefore enjoying a 100% success rate, makes it all the more impressive.

That ‘pure efficiency’ is unlikely to have gone unnoticed, particularly at Fulham, who could do with a striker like that after losing Mitrovic.
