After being forced to leave before the trip to Coventry City, Huddersfield Town now has more injury concerns.
A probable hamstring injury forced David Kasumu to leave the game just before halftime, while Josh Ruffels also suffered an injury that was discovered following the game.

Two additional injury concerns that emerged during Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Stoke City will be dealt with by whoever takes charge of the Terriers for Monday night’s trip to Coventry City, and the club is hoping to make a permanent appointment before the game.

For the occasion, Neil Warnock took over as Huddersfield Town’s manager for one final time, however he was forced to make three substitutions before halftime after losing left-back Josh Ruffels and midfielder David Kasumu to injuries.

After the game, the outgoing manager said he had no idea how either player was doing but quipped that he wasn’t too concerned because it was no longer his concern. From the stands, it looked like Kasumu could have a hamstring problem, and Warnock said that Ruffels, a graduate of the Coventry academy, had a muscular ailment but couldn’t be more specific.

Jonathan Hogg and Danny Ward were both absent for Town due to injuries that prevented them from playing against Rotherham United at the weekend. In the game, the captain had to leave because he felt poorly, and striker Ward had been dealing with an Achilles injury. However, Warnock asserted following the game that neither player was far from making a comeback.

The defense had better news as Yuta Nakayama made his first Championship start since rupturing his Achilles tendon in December and Tom Lees was finally able to join a senior matchday squad this year after suffering a back injury.

Prior to the recent international break, the Japanese international came off the bench against West Bromwich Albion after making his Carabao Cup debut last month. Lees had been scheduled to play for the Town B team on Wednesday instead, according to Warnock, but the match was postponed, which led to the decision to add him to the first-team roster.
