Carlos Alcaraz of Southampton has been linked to a January transfer to Newcastle United. Last season, the 20-year-old Argentine sensation made an impression in the Premier League, especially when the Saints visited St. James’ Park in April.

According to rumors, the Magpies made inquiries during the summer transfer window, and the young player has slipped down St Mary’s’s pecking order. The fact that he hasn’t started any of their last three Championship games may prompt Newcastle to make a January transfer. Naturally, United acquired Tino Livramento from the Saints in the summer, and according to talkSPORT, Eddie Howe is a huge Alcaraz admirer.

In the end, Eddie simply didn’t feel confident accepting the part for a variety of reasons. It was already late since they had made such significant progress toward his appointment.
