Grant McCann feels Rovers are going from strength to strength with each passing week.
Rovers are set to welcome Sky Bet League Two’s early leaders Gillingham, fresh from following up a first league win of the season at Forest Green Rovers by seeing off Everton U21 in the EFL Trophy.
And McCann says he has seen tangible positivity in the group heading into the weekend’s tough test.
“We feel we’re coming and getting stronger all the time,” he said. “We’ll only get stronger when we get more bodies back and it gives us more of a conundrum in picking the team.
“I’m pleased with the boys. There seems to be a real bounce about them.
“We know we’re coming up against a really good Gillingham team with a very good manager in Neil Harris and it’s going to be another tough test for us on Saturday.
“But we’re all looking forward to it.”
