Everton gem George Morgan named alongside top Premier League talents

Everton gem George Morgan has been named amongst the top Premier League youngsters born between 1 September 2006 and 31 August 2007, in a list compiled by The Guardian.

The newspaper published their list on 10 October, with Morgan named as the Everton representative. His speed and power, as well as his eye for goal, were all noted in the description.

It is claimed Morgan models his game on legendary Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, and his consistent goalscoring touch throughout his time in the Toffees youth ranks point towards his hard work to meet that demand.

A promising future prospect

Despite being the son of former Wales international Craig Morgan, the Everton gem has opted to represent both England and Wales at youth level, although he remains eligible for both sides internationally should he emerge as an option in the future.

The Guardian shared that the striker had suffered from injury issues last year, but is back to full fitness and has had a flying start to the under-18s campaign. According to Transfermarkt, he has played 124 minutes across four appearances so far this season.

Everton

While it’s important not to get carried away, Morgan will have aspirations of representing Everton at the highest level in the future, and as he has been named on the list of the Premier League’s best young stars, you would think he has a chance.

In other Everton news, the club made the right call in the transfer window as an injury update has emerged.
