This summer, Winslow became a free agent, and he has now signed a deal with the Toronto Raptors.

Via Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports: “The Raptors have waived centre Makur Maker and signed forward Justise Winslow. The former 10th-overall pick has bounced around since spending his first 5 seasons in Miami, with stops in Memphis, LAC and Portland over the last 3 years. He’s still just 27.”

Winslow was initially the tenth pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Duke.

Over eight seasons in the league, he has played for the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.

His career averages are 8.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest while shooting 41.2% from the field and 31.5% from the three-point range in 344 regular season games (he has also appeared in 19 NBA playoff games).

As for the Raptors, they are coming off a season where they were the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-41 record.

They lost to the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament, so they missed the NBA playoffs.

The Raptors will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on October 25 when they host Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in Canada.
