Overview: Glausser emerged on Iowa’s radar later in his senior season, but what really appeared to sell the Hawkeyes on Glausser was his performance in the state semifinals and championship at the UNI-Dome last month. Glausser, a former Minnesota State commit, had 36 carries for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the state semifinal win over Bondurant-Farrar. He then set the Class 4A State Championship record with 268 yards on 33 carries with three touchdowns in the loss to Lewis Central. He got the wind knocked out of him and then returned to the game. Glausser actually vomited on the field after getting hit, then returned to the field two plays later. After throwing up on the field violently, Glausser had 16 carries for 154 yards, and three touchdowns along with the numbers he had before the hit. Glausser broke the Class 4A state championship record that was previously held by former Iowa running back Tavian Banks, who set the record in the 1992 final with 250 yards. Glausser is the lone walk-on running back in the class, and joins scholarship running back additions Brevin Doll and Xavier Williams in the 2024 class.
