Football Transfers are reporting today that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Marc Cucurella from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Spurs are closely following the situation of the Spain international left-back and are ready to bring in the £55 million player.

Tottenham reportedly want the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Ivan Perisic.

Chelsea are “desperate” to offload Cucurella, but the £175,000-a-week (Spotrac) left-back wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, according to Football Transfers.

The report has claimed that Postecoglou personally wants to sign Cucurella for Spurs and play the Spaniard “as an inverted full-back” which would allow Yves Bissouma to “push further forward and possible new signing Micky van de Ven to move across into left-back”.

Could a summer transfer happen?

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

If Chelsea are willing to sell the former Brighton and Hove Albion star and Spurs are ready to make a good offer, then a transfer could happen between the two London clubs.

True, Cucurella wants to stay at Chelsea, but if the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want him gone, then it is hard to see him at the club next season.

If new head coach Postecoglou personally wants the 24-year-old at Spurs, then Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy could sanction a move, even if the North London club have to pay good money for him.
