Branded as an ‘incredible young lad’ by Pep Guardiola (via GOAL), the Englishman is one of the most talented prospects to have emerged from City’s academy.

However, the Spanish tactician admitted in his latest press conference that he himself is unsure about Palmer’s future amid constant links to other Premier League clubs.

But now, Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that West Ham are interested in signing Cole Palmer on loan from Manchester City.

“West Ham United have a strong interest in Manchester City forward Cole Palmer. It’s understood West Ham are exploring a loan deal. It’s not been confirmed if a potential deal is part of any discussions over City’s pursuit of Lucas Paqueta.”

Cole Palmer should be loaned to the Hammers in a bid to sign Lucas Paqueta

Considering the fact West Ham have been reported to have rejected an £88 million verbal bid for Lucas Paqueta, perhaps a loan deal for Cole Palmer could sweeten the deal.

If the Hammers are open to agreeing to lower their fee demands due to getting a talent such as Palmer on their hands, it will make life much easier for City.

In addition, both clubs will end up with smiles on their faces, with the Sky Blues having signed the magician in midfield, while the Europa Conference League winners would have banked a sizable fee alongside a cracking prospect on loan.
