Texans Getting Healthier, Clear Two Starters For Practice Ahead of Matchup With Bengals
CINCINNATI — The Texans are getting healthier with a matchup against the Bengals looming.
Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and offensive tackle Charlie Heck were both cleared for practice on Wednesday. It’s unclear if they’re going to play on Sunday.
The Bengals are hoping to win their fifth-straight game. They cleared wide receiver Charlie Jones and he’s practicing on Wednesday. The rookie could play on Sunday, but the Bengals want to see him practice first.

Stingley suffered a hamstring injury in preparation for his team’s tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. He went to the IR expecting to miss upward of eight weeks.
Derek Stingley Jr.: NFL Career
Derek Stingley Jr. joined the Texans as the third overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. He starred for three years with the LSU Tigers, being named an All-American and helping lead the team to an undefeated season in 2019. Stingley Jr. started eight games as a rookie last year, totaling 43 tackles, five passes defended, one interception, and a sack. However, he missed over half of the season with a hamstring injury.
